Job Description

Summary

The Training & Quality Control Manager supports the DHS-Federal Protective Service contract at Redstone Arsenal. Responsible for facilitating training requirements and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires expertise in instructional methodologies, presentation skills, lesson plan development, record keeping, testing, and assessment. In this role, you will interact with government personnel, monitor contractor performance, including equipment, uniform appearance, attendance, compliance with the SOW, possession of licenses and permits, and firearms qualification.

 

This position is contingent upon contract award.


Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

 

  • Facilitate all contract-required training, consisting of but not limited to basic and refresher training, firearms, weapon qualifications, intermediate weapons, legal updates, officer response tactics, defensive tactics, national weapon detection training program, CPR, first aid, fire safety, telecommunications, and emergency preparedness.
  • Develop training curriculums.
  • Maintain training records.
  • Ensure compliance with orders, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Ordering required uniforms, equipment, and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in monitoring the quality assurance of performance contracts involving personnel required.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in training law enforcement, armed guards, and military law enforcement required and outlined in resume.
  • Experience in delivering instructional methodologies, performance objective development, training tools and technology, lesson plan development, student center learning, presentation skills, evaluating laboratories, and practical exercises.
  • Possess the following training instructor certifications (please submit current certifications when applying):
  • Certified Firearms Instructor
  • National Weapons Detection Training Program Instructor
  • Baton
  • OC spray
  • Defensive Tactics and Handcuffing
  • Use of Force
  • CPR
  • AED
  • First Aid
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
