Job Description

Summary

  • The Human Resources Systems Assistant will assist in carrying out various human resources procedures and processes. The primary role is to create, maintain, and update electronic employee files in the HRIS. Performs project tasks for the HR Department.
  • This position is Anchorage, AK based; relocation is not provided

Responsibilities

  • Support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems.
  • Processes employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, termination date and reason
  • Troubleshoot Systems issues
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to support HR system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
  • Creates complex spreadsheets and reports.
  • Ensure data integrity by regularly auditing HR data and identifying discrepancies. Analyze and streamline HR processes by leveraging system capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
  • Analyzes and maintains HRIS system for assigned projects.
  • Support designated department leaders with tasks upon request.
  • Maybe required to work other than normal duty hours, this may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of (3) years HRIS or HR operations role.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Lists (filter, group, views)
  • Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous applicant tracking system preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables) and Word (Mail Merge) Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and act.
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently. Determines and develops solutions to complex problems.
  • Must be well organized, ability to meet hard deadlines and time schedules
  • Ability and skill to accomplish very detailed work and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks throughout the day, use time efficiently, sets goals and objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively through email
