Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

 

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions is seeking a technically skilled Test Engineer with hands-on experience in software testing, virtual environments, and system administration. The ideal candidate will bring 6 years of experience supporting the C2WSPTT program, with a strong background in VMware vSphere environments, Windows server management, and vulnerability scanning. Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and test coordination is highly desired.


Responsibilities

  • Manage development network servers, including ESXi hosts and virtual Windows servers (Active Directory, WSUS, SMTP Services).
  • Maintain a vSphere 7.0 environment and associated virtual machines to support development and testing activities.
  • Update and manage virtual machine C2WSPTT templates, including Windows patching and integration of C2WSPTT updates.
  • Perform ACAS security scans and generate monthly compliance reports detailing system vulnerabilities.
  • Support software testing efforts for C2WSPTT, including validation, regression testing, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Assist with customer support and helpdesk-related issues by providing product guidance and resolving technical problems.
  • Use JIRA to track software issues, log test results, and coordinate test activities.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and developers to ensure timely identification and resolution of defects.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Associate’s Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR
  • High School Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience to include:
    • Experience supporting C2WSPTT or similar DoD systems
    • Experience with VMware vSphere 7.0 and virtualized Windows environments
    • Experience with Navy-Lift software collaboration tools
  • Active Top Secret clearance

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in performing ACAS security scans and compliance reporting
  • Familiarity with software testing practices and methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA or other issue tracking systems is highly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements is a plus
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex issues
  • Ability to work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure mission success
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Proven technical troubleshooting experience with hardware, software, and connectivity in secure environments
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain OCONUS travel documentation
  • Ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays as required
  • Ability to maintain and keep a secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain USAF CAC
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
