Job Description

Summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions LLC., a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Contract Specialist to join for a 4 month time period to support the FDA in Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services (OAGS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide intermediate support and assistance in all areas of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based Federal procurement in which Cradle to Grave acquisition expertise is required such as:
    • Preparing or reviewing pre-procurement packages
    • Actively participating in developing and managing acquisition plans
    • Preparing/researching support documentation
    • Making quality recommendations to the Contracting officer
    • Handling and resolving problems, validating data, and otherwise completing actions needed to successfully advertise, solicit, construct, award, administer and or/or closeout Government contracts or task/delivery orders.
    • Monitor status of and support de-obligating undelivered orders (UDOs).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or 24 semester hours of business-related college courses.
  • Two (2) years of contract work experience based on the Federal Government acquisition work experience based on the Contract Specialist (GS-1102) Qualification Standard.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in automated systems and software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and teleconference applications.
  • Professional and interpersonal skills are important as this position will interact with public education, program coordination, and advocacy groups.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in Federal Acquisition.
  • Self-starter, multi-tasking skills and pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $81,714.92/Yr. Up to USD $88,000.00/Yr.
