Job Description

Summary

**Position contingent on contract award. All information including salary is subject to change based on final contract award and available funding.**

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for an exceptional Senior Solutions Architect with extensive experience supporting large agency-level enterprise IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to our customer's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), providing expert guidance on leading-edge technologies, best practices, and transformational initiatives across the enterprise IT landscape. This position will require the candidate to work in Washington D.C. up to 5 days a week, though it is considered "hybrid."

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior officials and deputy personnel to develop and implement comprehensive enterprise IT strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions that leverage modern technologies and methodologies
  • Lead technical governance initiatives to ensure alignment, standardization, and optimization across the enterprise
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Develop reference architectures and technical roadmaps to guide the organization's digital transformation journey
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology solutions to address complex business challenges
  • Mentor and guide technical teams in the implementation of enterprise solutions
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks across the enterprise IT portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT architecture and solutions design
  • Demonstrated experience advising C-level executives and senior government officials
  • Comprehensive knowledge across multiple domains:
    • Enterprise IT Governance and Strategy
    • Cybersecurity and Zero Trust Architecture
    • Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
    • Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
    • Enterprise Networking and Infrastructure
    • Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP)
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of federal IT policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience working with federal agencies or large public sector organizations preferred
  • Preferred Relevant certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP, CISSP, ITIL, PMP)
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools preferred
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as quantum computing, blockchain, or edge computing preferred
  • Experience with IT portfolio management and capital planning preferred
  • Background in enterprise architecture frameworks (FEAF, DoDAF, etc.) preferred

 

Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
