THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD

 

The Senior Software Engineer will provide technical and professional support to the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) Aerospace Medicine Consultation Division specifically to support clinical and operational data analysis.


Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of a web application which hosts a suite of predictive analytics. 
  • Demonstrate their knowledge in actual code 
  • Demonstrate writing a web application independently 
  • Demonstrate the ability to visualize data 
  • Demonstrate visualizing hierarchical data structures. 
  • Obtain HIPAA training upon performance of work. 
  • Maintain HIPPA standards and prevent data leaks.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field 
  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Python.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in JavaScript.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess demonstrated experience of Scrum Process.
  • Possess demonstrated experience of Git Source Control.
  • Possess demonstrate experience of UNIX systems.
  • Possess demonstrated experience of basic networking (OSI model layers 3 & 4). 
  • Experience working with software engineers to develop novel dashboards to enable interaction with AI technologies Preferred.
  • Experience with Flask Web Serving Library in Python Preferred.
  • Experience with SQLAlchemy ORM library in Python Preferred.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS Preferred.
  • Experience with web application development in any capacity. Preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular Preferred.
  • Experience with SQL and Databases Preferred.
